Making bootable USB Pen Drive using Windows 7 USB /DVD Download Tool or command prompt is very easy. If you don't have CD/DVD drive on your computer and you need to boot any software or install Windows on your PC then now its very easy. And yes, boot from USB drive is much more faster then CD/DVD drive.
So now if you want to make bootable Windows pen drive. Then follow the steps given below:

Method 1

Steps:
1. To work with Windows 7 USB /DVD Download Tool you need an ISO image of Windows 7/8.
2. If you don't have ISO image then create it using Nero or any other burning tool. Insert the disc in your DVD Rom. Launch Nero. Make a copy of Windows Disc and save it as an ISO image.
3. Now download Windows 7 USB /DVD Download Tool from official site of Microsoft or Click Here. This is a free tool provided by Microsoft.
4. Launch Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool. Click on Browse.

5. Browse for the ISO image. Select the image file and click open.

6. Click Next.

7. Now in step 2 click 'USB Device' to make your USB Device bootable.

8. Now in step 3 click on 'Begin Copying' to start the process.

9. Within a few moment your USB Device will be bootable. After completion close the window.
10. Now boot from your pen drive and continue Windows installation.

While adding ISO image in first step you may get an error message like "Not Valid ISO File".

If so then you can simply fix the problem with Power ISO with some easy steps.

Steps:
1. Download 'Power ISO' and free keygen or crack from internet.
2. Now install and run Power ISO and register.

3. Open your Windows 7/8 ISO image with Power ISO.

4. Click on File then 'Image properties'.

5. Now in 'CD/DVD File System' section click all the options(as shown in picture) and click ok.

6. Now in file option save the image.

7. Now click 'Yes' to overwrite the file. Within a few moment file will be saved.

8. Now browse for the image file and select the image file and your error will be fixed.


   Method 2

This method is using command promt.

Steps:
1. Run command promt as Administrator.(Right click on cmd click on 'Run as Administrator').

2. Type 'DISKPART' in command prompt. Now type “list disk” to see all of your connected disk
drives.

3. Type this following command one by one.(Here Disk 1 is the disk number of my flash drive. So make sure Disk 1 is your flash drive disk number. If not then replace ''Disk 1" with proper disk number)
1. 'select disk 1'
2. 'clean'
3. 'create partition primary'
4. 'select partition 1'
5. 'active'
6. 'format fs=NTFS QUICK'
7. 'assign'
8. 'exit'

4. You'll be exited from DISKPART utility. Now use bootsect utility to make your flash drive bootable. To do so, insert the Windows 7/8 DVD in DVD drive. For this tutorial, the DVD drive is J: and the USB drive is I: (Replace this drive letter with proper drive letter of your PC)
Now type the following command in command promt one by one.
1. J:
2. cd J:\boot
3. BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 I:

Your USB drive now has been update with BOOTMGR compatible code. Now close the Command Prompt windows.
5. Now open your Windows 7/8 DVD drive and copy all files in your Flash Drive.

6. Everything is done. Now boot from your pen drive and continue Windows installation.

Windows 8 comes with net framework 4.5 already installed on it. So when you try to install net framework 3.5 in Windows 8 you will get an error like this.

Now some application, builds on .Net Framework 3.5, needs Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 to be installed to run. And Microsoft Net Framework 4.5 does not include Net Framework 3.5. So now how to fix this? Here is the solution with some easy.
In this tutorial we are going to show how to install .Net Framework offline without any internet connection. All you need is just a installation DVD of windows 8.

Method 1
Steps:
1. Go to start menu and search for Command Prompt.

2. Right click on Command Prompt and click on 'Run as administrator'.

3. Now copy and paste the following command in Command Prompt. and hit enter to run.(to paste the command in Command Prompt, copy the command. Then open Command Prompt window then right click and paste.)

Note: Here J: is my DVD drive. So replace J: with your source DVD drive letter.

1. Run the application as administrator.

Method 2


1. Go to windows search menu.

3. Then click on Settings > Turn Windows feature on or off.

4. In Windows feature window click on '.Net Framework 3.5' option. And click ok.

Also with Registry Edit you can block application. But here we are going to show you this trick without using any third party application with pictures. And this is really very easy and you can do it within a minute. So now follow the steps:

2. Type 'gpedit.msc' in search bar. And run the application.

4. Now in left side bar double click on Administrative Templates.

6. Now click on 'Don't run specified Windows application' and open.

7. A new windows will open. Here you can see 'Don't run specified Windows application' is not configured.

8. Now click on Enable.

9. Then click on 'Show' in options. A new window will open. Here you can see the list of blocked application.

10. Now in the value box type the filename with '.exe' extension, that you want to block.
Suppose if you want to block VLC Player then in value box type 'vlc.exe' and click Ok.(Don't know the exact application name? How to know the exact application name? This process is given below)

11. Now click apply then click on Ok.

12. Your application is now blocked. Now if you run 'VLC Player' it will show an error msg.
13. If you want to disable application block and want to run VLC Player then again go to Group Policy Editor > Administrative Templates > System > Don't run specified Windows application > Click on Disable > Ok > Apply

How To Know Executable Application Name:
Suppose if you want to block Mozilla Firefox and don't know the executable file name of Mozilla. So to find the executable file name for the application follow this steps.

1. First go to Windows start menu.

2. Then search for Mozilla Firefox. Right click on the Mozilla Firefox  icon and click on 'Open file location'

3. It will open the start menu folder.

4. Here right click on 'Mozilla Firefox' file.(as you can see in picture). Then click on properties.

5. Now click on 'Open file location' in properties option.

6. It will open the executable file location of Mozilla Firefox. As you can see here the executable file name is 'firefox'

7. So if you want to block Mozilla Firefox then 'Value' box you have write 'firefox.exe' and click ok to block Mozilla Firefox.
